Utility poles for the retaining wall?Sign-saywhat-1010

Rebar is used in the retaining wall.

So what are the utility poles used for?

SP-What does the Rebar look like?

Does the word "removed" in that sentence not make it clear that said poles are in the way ???
Everybody knows what rebar looks like, Google it and click on "images" .....

TCS - this is not the same retaining wall near Bradford ...

I'll treat your questions seriously:

Utility poles are usually wood poles (could be metal) that rise from the ground and carry utility lines (power and wired communications). I suppose you could make a log home or retaining wall with them if you have enough, but for this project the retaining walls will either be made of brick or concrete with rebar reinforement.

Rebar are long solid round steel bars, not hollow, which are shaped into a "skeleton" for reinforcement of concrete or are used within a wall to reinforce it.

If you want to see pictures feel free to use google.

I thought that the Utility poles were just referred to as telephone poles.

SP-But I see what you mean.

Same thing. Utility is more correct as said poles carry cable tv and power lines as well as telephone.

TCS - they used to have gas lines on the poles at Hobart ....

The signal bridge at Placentia is now gone. Not much else has changed.

"Now" versus 5 days ago ? {Melrose}

Future temporary crossing at Placentia thrown in for no obvious reason

TCS - it's not a telephone box, it's a ..... wardrobe ..

This day I limited my "inspection" to Kraemer and the Placentia ped bridge.

There is a small culvert running under the tracks just immediately to the west of the 57 fwy which has a concrete form built around it to widen the ROW over it.

They actually took down the cantilever at Melrose the same day you reported the new signals were on last week.

TCS - quick drive-by this afternoon, not much
