At the breakneck pace of 60 feet in 8 hours ... The TLM heads west.

TCS - then stopped and everybody went home.

Thanks for keeping this updated Mikey. All the work I've been waiting for is finally happening in my absence. I finally had my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday after a year of excruciating headaches (my doctor and I thought the headaches were caused by something else).

OCC Chip-monk maybe looking at the pics of this project gave you a headache.

SP- LOL

North track "done", onto the south track.
Not much room between the main line and the shoefly, probably make the bridge a little wide and finish the south side after the temorary tracks are removed.
Third track R-O-W almost done between Melrose and Placentia with gravel subgrade being leveled and compacted this afternoon.

Lowboy delivering some equipment at Placentia this evening came within a few inches of high centering, which is all you really need. But the "flagman" walked out in to traffic without looking. That would have tied up traffic scraping him out of the flangeways

RE: Kraemer Blvd & Placentia Ave Underpass Construction Thread - orange choo choo - 08-03-2012

Is the third track temporary?

RE: Kraemer Blvd & Placentia Ave Underpass Construction Thread - TC Smith - 08-04-2012

Maybe at first but the plans call triple track (hence the signal bridges at Melrose, Richfield).
There were also two flash welding trucks parked just off Crowther.

TCS - called in two wire theives this morning

I wonder if over the next 2-3 years they will connect this triple track west to Fullerton and east to Atwood since they're grade separating that whole stretch.

Longer, State College and Raymond are the next two.
