Join us this coming Saturday for a Trek at Trestles Beach.

Just south of San Clemente Beach off the 5 freeway.

Here is a link for mapping directions

wcrftrestles

Attached is a screen capture of the map showing the walking trail and general area we will be set up. I think we will have two easy ups... so just look for the easy ups. I am not sure if there will be decorations or not.

The start and end times are just general reference points of when to arrive and leave.. but of course your free to come anytime in between.

Bring your cooler, sunblock, chair and camera gear as well as your two way radio if you want to roam the general area.

As with our past gatherings, children must be supervised by a parent at all times and the 2 way radio communication is for train alerts. Please respect these simple rules so everyone can enjoy their time.

Perhaps Brett can elaborate on the best place to park on the map. I do know there is a bit of a hike from the parking area to the beach.. but have been told it is a relative easy trail.

Any questions.. please ask.

Hope to see you there.

To get to the official Trestle Beach parking lot you exit the 5 Freeway at Christainitos and head east. (Turn left if southbound, right if northbound.) You then turn left at the stop sign and the lot will be on your right. Additional on-street parking is available up Christianitos towards the San Mateo Camp Ground. There are two routes to get to the beach. The dirt path is a shorter distance but difficult to traverse due to steep grades and gravel while the paved path is longer. The dirt path is accessible from the south side of Christainitos near the intersection with El Camino Real. The paved path is accessed by crossing back over the freeway and crossing Christianitos to the south side at the southbound ramps. The two paths meet up where the freeway crosses the creek. As Chris said, anyone who needs additional help can ask and we'll be happy to help out. See you all there!

Myself and Mike are in... I'll probably be asleep at some point in the day after working all night.

I'll do my best to drop by, but it would be rather late in the day, probably not until after 5 if there's anybody planning to stay until sunset (which is around 7:30)
