The Rosamond siding: A land yacht seen on the way home. Again, the day was very enjoyable. Thank you for looking, and I'm looking forward to what others have to share. Ken |

Nice shots so far, everyone!
I had a great time this weekend. I got to see a lot of the pass that I hadn't seen before and got some good pictures. Thanks, Marshall for bringing me with you. |

Outstanding photos everyone! Jeff, I really like the going away shot at Sandcut. I'm glad they've left the cantilever signal alone there so far! Ken, the photo of the flatcar at the Rosamond siding is great!
Looking forward to more! -Ryan http://web.me.com/medic8/RDH_OC_Photogra...lcome.html |

Once again I had a great time with the group. Meeting up at the Apple Shed the conversation was great and I think I picked up a few pointers as well.
I did my best to cling on to the Senior group figuring I could learn and keep up with them. (Man I need to start working out again, looking at how big I am in the photos posted). Once we started rolling out of the parking lot I was lost having never been there before so I clung on hard to Dave's car, which proved to be quite fun. A quick U-turn and it was hammer down. 3 figure speeds through traffic! Always fun in an 11,000 pound truck and then a quick stop, At least I was hoping to stop that quick. We jumped out and looked upstream. I am a junkie for big industrial places so this shot has a lot of what I like. |

From here on out I am lost, Don't know where we were, couldn't get back there if I had to and we drove up down, back, forth, and all around looking for a train.
We found one. |

We jetted over to another local, my angle was bad but I figured this was cool. My wife says it is a pigs eye view.

Next was our best find of the day. I liked this spot and with more trains I am sure we could have worked some nice shot in this area.
So here's my favorite of the day. |

House #22 was just behind us and I shot some stuff, I used a filter that I am not to sure of and mostly got the same angles as posted. Nothing world shaking.
We drove arond a bunch more with me in chase and we wound up at the top of Tunnel two, I have an idea or two I would like to try at the Tunnels, so here was a chance to grab some spec shots. |

More chasing and we decided to maybe go in search of more fruitfull locals.
Ken sums up the train traffic... |
