BNSF 1st La Mirada Local images

Recent discussion or talk has been around the area the BNSF's 1st La Mirada local used to service.

This local has since been reassigned and the industries taken over by either the 4th or 5th La Mirada local.

These are images from 2005 and 2006.

From January 13th 2006 - The 1st La Mirada waiting to shove back onto the Metrolink Orange Sub after crossing Edinger Ave in Tustin, CA

Same day - Same train .. rolling north/east on the Olive Sub.

Adding a few more images here from the Jan 13th 2006 chase.

First image is the 1st La Mirada approaching Santa Ana station.

Second is them passing the station as construction on the ped bridge was underway.

Third image.. 15 cars later the caboose pulls up the rear of the train.

Great shots of the First La Mirada. It was nice to see the local at the Irvine Industrial Complex and on the Olive Sub.

I recently re-processed this one out of my 2005 archives. Figured I would add it to this thread as it was here before but much smaller.

This is the 1st La Mirada local on the Olive Sub as they held the main near the Sunkist facility on the 10th of August

I'll show my age but between Sunkist on the old ATSF and Morse (I think ) farms on the SP line those were the days hoppers full of oranges, carrots, potatos you name it seems all gone now...Ken
