So now the train is to arrive n the 11th mabye? O boy, this will make things intresting for me. The train should be wrapping things up in Tusan right now (I don't know for sure, only a guess)

I was able to get some info from uphotrail, on Train Foamers:

Mabye early morning departure from Bakersfeild would put the train on the outskirts of Fresno mabye around mid afternoon or so.

Thank you very much for the updates on this
truly fascinating saga!
IF--IF--IF that "SETOUT" indication holds on UP in Bakersfield
then that probably means they run Bak to Fresno on the ATSF (BNSF)
line thru Wasco--Corcoran--Hanford.
Very interesting stuff indeed with the different routing possibilities thru Socal!

UP is leading the train, andit should come down the UP line into Fresno (I am guessing). That would be a nice thing to know also, because as I said earlier, I only live 2 blocks away from BNSF line to Fresno. But where the train is supposed to stop is on UP.



But I have planned to go to where the train should be stopping to unload it animals, car, traliors, etc on UP's line.



A set-out from Bakersfeild seems to be in order tomorrow morning. Time still seems to be unknow of the trains eta into Fresno on all websites and other sources.

Actually, this is information pionting to UP power handeling the train but it coming down the BNSF:



This posting to Trainorders dot com
as of 11:35 AM PDT 7-7-08 monday would seem to indicate that
the Circus Train will run via the ATSF (BNSF) from Bak to Fresno.
This is the normal Amtrak line that runs: Wasco--Corcoran--Hanford.
The BNSF (ATSF) line is followed by Highway 43 from Corcoran to Wasco.
Notice how the word "SETOUT" is used for the northbound Bakersfield arrival at
12:15 AM on 7-8-08.
When the UP computer says "SETOUT" that should mean it is transferred to
a Different railroad at that point.
The only possibility for a transfer in Bakersfield is to the ATSF (BNSF).
That is IF--IF--IF this routing plan of 11 AM 7-7-08 --HOLDS.
As we railfans know the possiblity of "change" is the only real guarantee in life.

It is also possible that the Circus somehow ALTERNATES between the UP and BNSF in consecutive years. Last year in 2007 this train went south via the UP from Fresno to Bak via Tulare and Delano along the highway 99 (mostly freeway route)
I hope this helps to give an early indication on the valley routing for the Circus train
