UP 1988 (Katy Heritage Engine)

The Katy Heritage Engine will be in Denison, TX for the weekend of March 27-29th for the Grand re-opening of the Katy Railroad Museum. Not sure about the exact the times yet, but word is the engine will be parked outside the Katy Depot (which houses the museum) and visitors can look inside the cab. Denison is on the Red River about an hour North of Dallas on Highway 75/69. It was a major hub of the Katy Railroad. The town was founded by the Katy in 1872.

About a year ago I spotted the Katy in the Eugene Oregon UP yard over night. Any idea when she might be back in Oregon from Portland area down to Eugene? I thought it was a little weird to see the Katy so far west.
