Also to note...

The western most tunnel at Alray is being daylighted today according to posts on trainorders.com. As dirt was removed from the top of the tunnel, the lighter load on top caused the lining to begin to crack and fall as it "un-relaxed" (my terminology). Some debris was reported to have fallen on a train around 3:00pm on 11-20-2007. then the line was closed and emergency dirt removal began pronto. Reportedly, they are hoping to have the line open at 4:00pm today... reportedly.

I don't think this should impact our Pilgrimage... ??

Of course not. We are not going to be in the tunnels, so we won't be impacted. Besides, that dirt already fell.

Yeah, I know, I know. Bad, very bad, but I had to say it.

And, oh yes... Marissa is looking forward to the Pilgrimage, as am I. Marissa is quite demanding, though, and she's been kind of hoping that her friends Irwin and Max will both be there.

Tacky decorations are already to go, but I haven't yet decided if our colors will be yellow, orange, and red or yellow, orange, and purple, like we had at Frost.

Irwin has a full charge, took him off the charger a few days ago. Fat Max will get warmed up today and tomorrow. My plan is for Fat Max to spend time with Marissa, and hold Irwin in reserve for lights and any slide shows that Vader may project for us.

I vote for purple. Also, I might suggest some two strings of white to run thru the rafters of the hut for general illumination (??)... just a thought.

Winds predicted at 16 mph now... Humidity down to 15%.

"Abundant sunshine" is the description for the day. We should have some awesome cobalt blue skies for our Pilgrimage.

All systems go !!

I had a great time. Thanks to Jeff and Chris for organizing the event, Scott for all the decorations, and Robert for getting the permit. And thanks to everyone else in attendance for the camaraderie.

I've imported 355 images into Lightroom, but I won't be able to do much with them until I get home later today.
