UP 2001 and 2002 (Olympic Torch engines)

Cabcar reports that UP 2001 and 2002 are headed to ICTF in Carson, CA - last reported through South Fontana at 6:22pm.

Robert says the train will stay on the Alhambra Sub to Yuma Junction. From there I would guess it will run the Metrolink River East bank to Ninth Street Junction - and onto the Alameda Corridor at CP East Redondo all the way to ICTF.

I just heard Corridor DS-10 telling a train they were doing a head-end set out at ICTF, and running the balance to ACTA Storage Tk. 2, for a repaint. I assume he was talking to the UP2001, since it is in the trench now, and its probably more likley to getrepainted than any other loco, but not sure. The dispatcher was comming in real faint. Does anyone know if there is even a repaint facility in that area?

I do not know of any "Repaint" facility around Dolores yard. Probably slang for something else.
