Here's my first shot of the train, about to enter the Canyon Siding, at 323pm:

A train went into Emergency at Blue Cut, not clearing the crossing by only 5 cars, so we couldn't go up the road to the place that I got a pic of it last year.:? Not too many photo-ops after that.
Here's a shot of the train passing over the 10 freeway, pulling up to the interlocker for a crew change:

Word (Rumor or Fact - I dunno yet) is the the train will leave Phoenix and run on the BNSF to the Arizona and California which will run it out to Cadiz and then into Barstow via the Needles Sub.

Not sure on the validity of this report, but thought I would share what I read either way.

Report on TO 6/29 is train will leave Phoenix 7/2 w/ BNSF power & handed off train & locos to ARZC at Mathie. They will take train to Cadiz for BNSF to pick up again. Will go to Barstow then out Mojave sub to Bakersfield.

Well that sounds oddly similar to what I said Andy. (I read TO also)

But as you - I don't believe everything I read on TO and wont quote anything as gospel unless I know the source.

Doubt they will even switch power at Mathie or wherever a handover would take place. Simply changing crews if need be. Sort of similar to how UP power takes the train to San Diego.

Would you agree?

RBBX reported passed Newberry Springs at 6:25pm today heading for Barstow.

Departed Barstow shortly after 10pm with a layover to water the elephants.

ETA into Bakersfield is not until tomorrow night before midnight.

There first showing is on Thursday in town.

Anyone catching it there?

It is coming in with a CSX engine on the point? Wish they would leave the SP 760 on it.

Looks like they expect it to beam to LA from West Colton... unless that CSX has hyperdrives. Four minutes from Colton to LA?

Keep us updated later on if you can. I would like to catch it somewhere between Colton and LA if it get's out earlier as this train is often known to do.
