Sorry NO it is going SOUTH today and not north.
I would presume that the train would be around Mojave by now, if not just past there.
The Circus Train is heading to Los Angeles today (probably via West Colton).

I do not want anyone to be misdirected and search for a non train in the Bakersfield area.
Thank you for you posting Cabcar.
I hope this helps you!

I would guess it be around Mojave now also .. Im sure Bakersfield was a typo - no need to lay into somebody over that. All the other messages are clear as to what direction it is going. West Colton via the Palmdale Cutoff into East LA on the LA Sub.

Thanks

Yea I meant Mojave. Went through MOJAVE at 1644. We're planning on leaving in a bit, and catching it in Cajon.

Welcome to the group. I noticed your postings over on the CircusTrain yahoo group.

Should be current with what they did previous years. Parking will be a bit hard pressed for you over there at that time.

Just got a text from Cabcar saying the Circus Train passed through Silverwood on the Cajon Pass at 7:30pm

It should arrive on schedule tonight close to midnight. I personally would not recommend trying to catch it between the two yards.. one, it is not the best of neighborhoods.. secondly is that Circus Security will be on high alert from any animal activist folks trying to get a piece of the train or cause harm to the circus folks and because of the area.

The route is only crossed at grade in one spot and the other ground level spot is at the J yard throat where there will for sure be circus, railroad and LAPD on hand.

The route loosely follows Washington Blvd west of the 710.

Are you looking to photograph the train?
