2010 Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Train - Blue Train

It seems this morning some protestors took to the streets over in Fresno, and one lady "stripped down to almost nothing" (as the radio put it) just to get the attention of many people to see what all the fuss was about and to get their attention from the local media (which they did...and some, of course).

The fuss: People who want to boy-cott the circus (Yes, RB&BB) because of animal cruility. I really don't see this going anywhere, and its funny that these folks over in Fresno all of a sudden...just THIS year...decided to do this.

People these days, someone once told me I'd see the "real world" one of these days. When people go that far to get attention for a simple thing like this that could have been taken care of in so many others ways then it was...ya....



Alex- knows this shouldn't stop the circus from coming to town...but will they still do the yearly tradition off the animal walk down to the arena does arise.

Just goes to show that they have to got to extreme to get attention because most people could give an elephants butt (pun fully intended) about their opinion. They have to resort to the same thing in each town. I think they did Anaheim last year with the same proposed tactic.

Just another circus act of a different kind.

Nothing new and do not expect it to stop... and all the more reason to show up and support them when they come to your town.

I received word that the train arrived in Tucson, AZ about an hour ago.

S-PXTU was the train symbol under UP.

I got 2 questions. When will it leave tucson? And when it heads to Fresno I assume it'll be passing through West Colton. If so what time will it get in?

Usually leaves the day after the last show where ever it is scheduled..see schedule in first post.

When? Too early to say right now as the train is still in Tucson.

Am at circus in tucson now.
Animals will walk back to train 1hr after todays show. Show ends approx 2:30. Its a beautiful day for a parade

I made a few calls to some friends for information.

UP Train symbol is STUFR 05

As of right now the train has a 11 pm scheduled departure time out of Tucson tonight.

That should put it in Yuma around 6 or 6:30 am tomorrow morning and an early morning run through the desert for a late afternoon arrival at West Colton.

May see Cajon Pass in the daylight, but Tehachapi Loop and Bakersfield are likely to be in the darkness going north.

Fresno arrival sometime early morning Tuesday.

Do we know what will the radio call sign be?

"Circus Train" is usually used to identify the train, or the lead engine number of which I do not know what it will be.
