Scheduled to arrive in Haggin, CA @ 22:50 for a crew change
Scheduled to arrive in Sacramento, CA @ 23:15 where the train will be handed off to the Sacramento Valley RR who will break down the train and spot it.

Anyone have knowledge or a guesstimate as to when the train leaves Stockton? And will it be traveling on the Fresno Sub or the Sacramento Sub?

The Circus Train (RBBX) should be a SAFE bet to
operate thru central LODI (UP Fresno Sub) after departure from Stockton and onward to DONNER PASS.

I say this because the next Circus venue after Stockton is Salt Lake City, UT.
Currenly almost NO Union Pacific freight trains
operate thru the Feather River Canyon (OROVILLE -- PORTOLA former WP Line).
Almost ALL UP freight trains currently operate
over DONNER PASS (via Auburn--Truckee--Reno NV---Lovelock NV) .
The circus will most likely run on the WP line EAST of ALAZON, NV and via WENDOVER UT.
FYI Alazon, NV (junction) is located about 4 miles west of WELLS NV.
This Wendover UT mainline operates along I-80 and the south shore of the Great Salt Lake into Salt lake City UT.


The track layout in Sacramento area almost forces
any Stockton to Salt Lake City train to run via Donner Pass.
There is NO direct connection for trains to use
the former WP line (UP Sacramento Subdivision)from Stockton to Sacramento IF they
must use the Donner Pass mainline (former SP).
A very very UNLIKELY possibility for the circus train to
run via the WP from Stockton thru Sacramento via the FRC (
Marysville--Oroville--Keddie--Portola).
Any Circus FRC run after Stockton will only happen IF--IF--IF
a major DISRUPTION happens on Donner Pass and FORCES the hand of the UP.
That could be a major derailment or forest fire.
I had to mention that FRC routing as a very--very--very SLIM POSSIBILITY here to cover all bases.

The fact that there are very few UP crews employed to run
thru the Feather River you can almost GUARANTEE that this
Circus Train run WILL go east on Donner Pass.

I hope this helps to explain why the CIrcus train will almost certainly
go east over Donner Pass in between the Stockton and Salt lake City Circus shows.
