Hay Glenn, the picture that I use for my avatar was taken by a point and shoot. I can't afford a expensive DSLR digital camera right now. I am looking forward to the contest. Whatever camera you have will work.

Cool, glad to hear you've started it up again. Here are some of my ideas
1. Along the line (shots of different things along the tracks)
2. Power (shots that portray a theme of just how much power locomotives have)
3. Rain or shine (shots of trains in inclement weather)
4. Old V.S. New (self explanitory)
5. Back in the day (New shots with old power/consists)
6. Into the Sunset (also self explanitory)
7. From Afar (shots from a distance)
other?
Just some thoughts.

Old Vs. New... ??? my self is having trouble explaining that one but is curious. You mean like, two trains, one new and one old?

Power and Rain or Shine are definates as subject matter.

Great minds think... alike mostly.

Glad you like them. Yes, by old vs. new, I mean shots of older equipment with newer ones (I.E. 3751 next to a P42 or something like that)

Chris, just to understand the rules, we can olny summit 1 photo and does the photo have to be taken in September?

One photo is correct David, it will be that way for each contest ... date of image does not matter with this particular subject.
