I see that either the 3rd or 5th La Mirada locals switch the IIC. Any idea which one and the time they typically show up to begin work?

Unfortunately for viewing the roadswitcher at the IIC, the 5th La Mirada served the area usually in the very early morning. The last I heard was that it went there on Wednesdays.

Cliff is correct. Irvine is switched on Wednesdays (technically Thursday mornings) by the 5th. They are on duty at La Mirada Yard at 2000 and usually don't enter the mainline until 2200 or so. The Irvine Complex is typically switched between 2330 and 0330 depending on the amount of work or that trip. Sorry I can't be more specific, the job itself has a highly variable amount of work considering the many areas it covers during it's work week.
