RE: 2011 Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey Circus Train - Red Train
SLVPX-20
Departed Sin City at 7 am and was last reported around Borax, NV about 8:30 am. Word on the street puts it into Yermo around 3:30 pm where they will do a crew change and probably tend to the animals a bit before heading down through Cajon Pass into Colton. Current Eta into Phoenix is around 10:30 tomorrow night. Chris Chris Walker - Forum Owner |

The lead unit is the UP 5519, it was waiting at Picacho for a warrant to enter the Phoenix Sub. Fox 10 News is reporting the train will unload around 3pm. It is expected to be about 110 degrees today. I do not believe the 2:30 arrival time is Arizona time, we do not observe DST.

I am seeing reports that the train arrived at 9:45 this morning. Should be pretty active around town now.

I don't know if it is going to unload in the yard or not. It is a much shorter animal walk and the public would have a better viewing area if the train went through the yard and headed over to Alice Coopers town and unloaded there. I've got 112 degrees right now.

RE: 2011 Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey Circus Train - Red Train - Tucson, AZ
Anyone know the train's schedule for tomorrow's move out of Tucson for Fresno? I would have loved a Tehachapi chase...but alas will be confined locally to either BNSF or UP here in the valley (up to a certain extent when/if it comes through here at night...).
I'm starting to wonder if BNSF power will ever take over at Bakersfield like a few years ago...wish I could plan in advance for that! Alex~ Like your new profile pic Chris |
