2011 Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus Train - Red Train - Oakland, CA

Well here we go again, the Circus is coming to town. This year the RB&BBC is sending it's Red Train into our area. Here is the schedule that has been posted on their website.

(Edit 06/02/11 - Filled in the holes from the updated schedule. Interesting to note that Oregon and Washington are getting the Gold Tour this year with the Zing Zang Zoom show. This tour does not travel by train. Chris)

Thanks for getting this started Tim. Crossed my mind to post it last week, and I forgot.

Nice to see San Diego back in the fold. Will be curious how they run to LA from San Diego. Would be great to see them run the entire train along the UP Santa Ana branchline... but would also like to see it run on the San Bernardino Sub.

Certainly will be monitoring the moves like all previous years.

At least twice a week I would check the Ringling website. Seeing if they had posted the western US schedule. On Monday I checked they did and so I posted it. It will be interesting to see how the train gets around southern California.

Not a single Bay Area show...I love to follow its Basin maneuvers at least vicariously here, but would enjoy seeing it run up&down SF Peninsula again.
p.s., how 'bout a 3751 pull some year?

They usually go north to Washington and then come back and do Sacramento and Stockton so they can cut across to Utah and start back east.

It is quite possible for show venues to be added as late as one month before the date there.
