Seattle North Coast
Hey fellas,

I'm aiming to construct a rough re-creation of the Seattle North Coast railroad in Microsoft Train Simulator. I know that it is ex-Milwaukee road and that for a while it did run a few ex-BN F units, but I don't know anything about customers, business tracks, sidings, etc.

I also would like some enlightenment on MILW's power--what kind of engines would have run on the line previous to it being spun off, what kind of paintscheme / horn / road-specific details, etc.

BTW, is there a forum for fallen flags?

Many thanks in advance,
AmtrakFan454

RE: Seattle North Coast
Railroad.net (if I got it right) has a forum for fallen flags. Milw. used SD-7s out there, maybe other stuff. http://www.fallenflags.com will have pics of Milw. units, some maybe from the Port Townsend area as well. Beyond that a google search may be your best bet and asking Big Dave at Fullerton if he has timetables on knowledge of said area.

TCS - Cliff might know too.

and kudos for picking a cool RR and location !

RE: Seattle North Coast
I chased a MILwk.gp9 across the isolated branch one Thanksgiving. Recall there was once a website devoted just to SNC("Snook") customers were mainly lumber/paper mills at both ends.
Unique feature, of course, was barge connection between Port Townsend and Seattle. Not much left to see last time I was in neighborhood(earlier this yea)r, but barge pier lasted quite awhile after abandonment.

You might try contacting the owner of the "Oil Electric" blog. He lives in Port Townsend and has a remarkable amount of historical information of railroading in the NW.
