I saw the 2nd La Mirada leave Santa Fe Springs at Lakeland Road and the lead unit BNSF 134 had an SP style Nathan P3 horn.

Yep it sure sounded every bit like an SP Nathan P-3 horn. I wouldn't have expected it to be on a BNSF GP60M that's for sure.

Well, I don't know... I have a Toyota P/U with a Toyota horn, but it sure sounds like a Honda horn so you never really can tell.....

Neither am I but I do like the K5LLA SD70ACe's and Nathan P-3 SP style horns a lot not to mention P-5's, RS3L , K5LA, K5HL, RS3K and others. But I don't really care about them a whole lot.

Some of the passenger trains have cool horns but most of the freight trains have obnoxtious horns. On the otherhand the bells are cool. I often hear the bell still on at Basta after the surfliner heads west out of fullerton. Maybe the driver is texting and forgets to turn the bell off after departing Fullerton :headspin:

I don't think he is text messaging after what happened in Chatsworth. From Jonathan |
