Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Under Attack
– Congressman Moran attempts to outlaw circuses

As members of our Feld Entertainment family and friends, we wanted to update you on recent events in Congress. Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA) has introduced legislation that outlaws the transportation of animals and targets circuses. This legislation would make it impossible for Ringling Bros. or any other circus to continue to operate with such animals. As a result, this bill would jeopardize more than 750 Feld Entertainment jobs that are directly tied to Ringling Bros., including 250 located in Moran’s district.

I do not advocate either "side" of the isle in Congress, nor will I engage in political discussion on this website. However, as a long-time resident of both RBBB Circus Trains, and one who knows - in person - the high level of care given by the show's employees to its animals, I urge everyone to take part in our government. I feel this is important to note here, particularly when national issues such as this arrise which certainly deserve more than just a passing glance on our part... and when they pose a genuine, potential threat to that which many Circus Fans and railfans hold dear - that is seeing this show continue, and its two trains as well. Google it if you really want to know. You will find dozens of alleged incidents. Certainly not topic for discussion here. And the circus is named "Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey". Nothing less, nothing more.

This has PETA's trademark "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWW" splattered all over it. I approve the ethical treatment of animals but those loonies take it way too far.

Supposing the animal equipment is well-ventilated, has passenger-grade handling system, and provides sufficient clearance for its occupants, I see nothing unethical.

I know but thats Bullcrap that they want it gone its like that case in San Diego that the Killer Whales are used as "Slaves" but the case was found pointless
