Nope, this is the actual Red line station itself with platform tracks 5 through 13 removed.
TCS - the monument would be to the upper left corner. |

What did they do without all of those platforms? Or were there a lot less trains back then at LAUPT?

They used the north ends, the excavation was mostly south of the pedestrian tunnel.
And yes, there were fewer trains back then. TCS - can you dig it, you can see the "East LA" tunnel extension if you down the tracks. |
