A few from LAUPT this morning
Went down to LAUPT this morning to check out Amtrak's 40th anniversary train and to see the 3751 on display. Went down on SCAX 260 and arrived into LA just before 08:30, Amtrak's 40th anniversary train was already resting on track 12. The F40PH was on the south end of the train and in beautiful light this morning.
After catching some photos of the anniversary set I walked down to the end of the platforms and watched the Amtrak/Metrolink action until the 3751 rumbled in just after 10:30, dressed in her holiday best. After pulling in the 3751 was placed at the end of track 11 where a 1964 Corvette was posed next to the big Baldwin 4-8-4 for a brief photo shoot. Charles and I jogged down the long platform which was nice as we got there before the flood of people. Great morning over all, the Amtrak museum train was a very nice walk through. Thanks for looking, ~Ryan |

RE: A few from LAUPT this morning
Is there any special slip you need to get on the Museum Train like there was at National Train Day?

Awesome shots Ryan!
>1964 Corvette I did not see the car when I got there around 11AM. >Is there any special slip you need to get on the Museum Train like there was at National Train Day? No. Unlike the train day, it was very slow and no line. What they should do that bring back the exhibit train on the 2012 train day. Snuffy - A Cat Owner |

Charles and I made a long jog down the platform after hearing the DS tell the 3751 there was a brief photo op, and found the corvette already sitting there. After touring the 40th anniversary train we went back down and got a few more photos of the 3751 and the corvette was gone. ~Ryan |
