My birthday weekend railfanning
So a great day today and tomorrow,I get to go see little trains...
So here we go!
Don't ask me how this happened...
Amtrak 763 pulls into the station after holding/parked on the Orange Sub.

A surprise to see Amtrak #3 still sitting at the station...AMTK 116 and 20 on the point.

NPCU 406

AMTK 822

At this point,I found out 457 shoved 763 to L.A.
I went the whole train ride not knowing this Brainfart

The Coast Starlight backs into the Station. My first time seeing this train in person along with my first time seeing a Cascades unit.

A P42 (155) leads a surfliner (my first time seeing that) 13 cars due to 455 that pooped out on 768.

The Protect unit 464 rescues 455 and train 768

3751

Some Amtrak member's car,A Corvette Stingray

A cool photo I managed to get of the HO Acela on display.
At about this time,my camera was malfunctioning, dieing after every pic I took.

yep...

Guess what this is and how it was free!

We made our way back and bumped into Brett.
That was nice. Then we continued onto the train.

While on the train,I swapped my camera and scanner batteries and my camera was normal! Smiley-angry021

Amtrak 774 departs to head to the orange sub before coming back north to track 1 as Amtrak 775.

and lastly,an epic fail. Maybe they hate my Birthday?

I'll add in a funny story as well...

So after the visit to L.A,we went to a party at Eisenhower Park in Orange,CA.
When we got there, there was on quinciera (15 year old's b-day).

Shortly followed was a wedding party dressed in purple mostly.
In order...

2. The Greens:The wedding party wearing green shows up,not related to the purples. These two are seen here..

3: The Gardeners: a group of 5 girls nicely dressed with gardening tools show up.
They march around the park while being videotaped.

4:The Violets:A group of people wearing violet show up.

5: The Black&Purples:
Up on the parking lot,a small group takes photos by a old car.

6:A party dressed in blue show up and go far away from the rest of the huge glob.
Group 1,2 & 3 have left at this point.

7: The Lowriders: Oh boy, well this was a weeding party disperesed into six old cars, three being lowriders. One has loud rap music playing while all the others park around a tree.

In this picture:
Black: Birthday Party playing Duck Duck GOOSE!
Brown: 15 year old's thing
Purple: The Purples
Green: The Greens

Thanks for looking!
I will post more pics tomorrow about RLS.

RE: My birthday weekend railfanning
Today was a fun day at Riverside Live Steamers.
I bumped into WCRF user Curley again today after meeting him last weekend at San Bernardino and seeing him Saturday at L.A. I think we stalk each other now...haha.

Anyways,I was on the first train out this morning from their depot and it was pretty dead.
After about 45 minutes,it got very busy.
They had three-four passenger trains running on the layout and 3-4 more trains running as privates.

My family was there as this was also a birthday celebration for me and my little brother.

I noticed only about four freights on the main for that 4 hours I wad there today (10-2) as I listened to their horns.
One was really horrible sounding geez...

I'll post my pictures from today sometime this week as the computer at my house is gonna be used alot.

Alrighty,so here are some pics from the park of the locomotives.
It never crossed my mind to take pics of the park itself. Oh well!
It is pretty nice and I plan on posting a video to You Tube soon.

Alright,so here we go again...

The engineer is talking while driving!
Riverside P.D would've been all over him Tongue

Their Shay Locomotive...

And the last image of the day...

This was a very fun weekend and I hope you enjoyed viewing my account of the weekend.

Thanks for looking!

Now to get ready for some more cake and presents in a bit... Whoohoo
