January 2012 Photography Contest - Black and White - CLOSED

Open entry period will run from now through January 31st. On February 1st (or shortly after) the voting poll will be set up in the Contest Voting forum.

For the month of January 2012, the photography contest topic is pretty simple: Black and White images. Images for this contest must be black and white. No color images will be accepted.

A good black and white image relies on the use of composition, tones, textures, and other elements.

Images for this contest can come from your archives or new images shot during the contest period.

The entries are moderated, so they will not show up until the contest administrator approves them. If the entry is not approved, you will receive a private message explaining why it was not approved.

Images must be added as attachments to the thread. Do not link images from other sites because linked images make it difficult to set up the voting poll. If images are linked, the post will not be approved.

Well, it is not exactly 1950, but it very well could be if you ignore the the SD70ACe tagging along for the ride. Here, UP #844 climbs the grade near C.P. Silverwood as it rounds the bend on the approach to C.P. Summit.
