Pedestrian struck in Orange
IEOC line 805 has struck a person south of Anaheim Canyon and presumably backed into and is currently stopped at Anaheim Canyon.
I'll see if I can try to get some pics. This train is now going under the Callsign Metrolink T104. Nathan - The Amtrak Freak |

RE: Pedestrian struck in Anaheim/Orange
Alrighty,I'm looking out the window of the house and literally across the street are 4 police cars,1 corner's van,and two witness cars it looks like.
I was asleep so I never did see the guy get hit.. For anyone interested,it's the corner of Orange-Olive Rd. and Heim Avenue. Edit: A white van with some guy has pulled up along with a moto cop. Nathan - The Amtrak Freak |

RE: Pedestrian struck in Anaheim/Orange
Yes and the Inland Empire trains are being re-routed through Fullerton according to the Metrolink Facebook page.
Why would you want to see the guy get hit anyways. That's just disturbing. Chris Walker - Forum Owner |

RE: Pedestrian struck in Orange
Whatever, the corner has cleared out and T104 is trying to get on the move again.
I thought I heard a P2 blowing nearby, but guess not. Only one cop remains at the scene now. EDIT 9:20 AM: Now they're all gone AND a Metrolink MOW veichle has pulled up. 9:23 AM:one more MOW person has showed up along with two hazmat trucks. Nathan - The Amtrak Freak |

RE: Pedestrian struck in Orange
The first eastbound/northbound has passed through at 9:44 AM.
I got some video of it blowing their horn. Awesome to hear a horn in a QZ again. Nathan - The Amtrak Freak |

RE: Pedestrian struck in Orange
T-104 would be the call sign for one of the Trainmasters, likely the person assigned as the incident commander.
This was a suicide, I doubt you could have done anything short of putting yourself in harm's way. Track inspector is necessary after a train plugs it to inspect the rails in case the emergency brake application did any harm to them, and a signal maintainer is necessary because the crossing is considered defective until the investigation is complete, and the crossing needs to be inspected to ensure it was working properly before the investigation is complete. |

Also in addition to Chris's response they they will ask you why are you there and would likely tell you to leave because of the ongoing investigation. SP Best to stay away from these incidents and let the police do their investigation and not get in their way. |
