While departing Fullerton I made a few grab shots of the La Mirada yard. I spy 3 cabeese! A nice bunch of red and green for the holiday season.

Nice photos.

A couple years ago, if somebody said 10% of the world's GP60M's would be switching La Mirada in the near future, I never would have believed them.

Went by there both yesterday and this afternoon. The three cabeese are coupled together, the ex-BN is completely painted black on one side. Six of the GP60's are coupled together with five Warbonnets in a row making for a fine sight!

Really enjoyed the aerial views. Agree with Dave C., who would have thought the GP60's would end up in local service. Seeing #'s 100 and 101 working Hobart still amazes me as I remembershooting their maiden voyage to LA.

Nice Nick... There has been 3 caboose at La Mirada since the derailment they had there at least. They like to tuck them away a lot it seems. The green one has been running the 2nd La Mirada a lot lately.

Also you got some images of the now leveled Rohm & Haas chemical facility that was south of the La Mirada yard.

Thanks for sharing.

Chris

I see I missed the wye track in that one shot however one of those other shots it appears that one of the legs of the wye track has a diamond crossing one of the industry tracks.
