Nothing a signal maintainer can't fix....
On the same hand, it might be that the crew stopped first, complying with the rules, and then proceeded on their way. V SLOCONDR |

RE: Whats Wrong With This Photo
It's just funny-interesting, that it's an operation lifesaver engine, going through a crossing, with the gates up and no one flagging the crossing.

RE: Whats Wrong With This Photo
A very odd photo indeed, with an operation lifesaver loco no less...... hopefully SLOCONDR is right though.
Nice catch! Shawn - Obsessed with Trains |

RE: Whats Wrong With This Photo
Well the crossing gate on the engine is down, that's good enough right?

RE: Whats Wrong With This Photo
This little used part of the UP Phoenix Sub was taken out of service on a Friday in early December and put back into service late Saturday evening the same weekend. Being close to home I went over to the area on that sunday to see what went on and saw this new turnout was put in.
While I was there I saw the headlight in the distance, the LKK49 local had setout its car in the yard in Buckeye and brought these empty MOW cars west out to here. I believe this was the first train over the new switch. They did comply with the rules. Then this fella took a walk up to the older switch so the LKK49 could set out the empty MOW cars up the siding. Hickman's Egg Ranch and Fertilizer plant was using the siding to off load chicken feed, the lease recently expired and is now off-loading the feed in Buckeye at Arizona Grain. Hickman's has at least 4-5 million chickens. 3 tracks are being built with a total of somewhere around 16,800 feet of rail. More photos coming soon of this area. |

RE: Whats Wrong With This Photo
I guess I'm too late to suggest it's the DP on the rear leaving after the head-end flagged the crossing?
