NICE TRAIN, EH! . . . or another visit to Pepper Avenue bridge.
My father and I went to the San Bernardino County Museum for their train weekend. I have not been to the San Bernardino County Museum for nearly 20 plus years!! I could have sworn they had an F-105 on outside display. *shrugs* The event was fun, geared toward the kids, but it was great to see some nice modular layouts. One guy even had a nice n scale layout, showing what you can do with such a small scale.
On the way home, we stopped at Pepper Ave since we were in the area. The train traffic was not very busy, but not exactly dead either. We were there for about an hour, saw 2 trains and a power shuffle. Though was hoping to catch a UP "quality" train, after the crew board the locomotive, but headed home before it was allowed to leave. The first train we saw was east bound Union Pacific 3810. Union Pacific 3810 Union Pacific 3810 going through the curve east of Pepper Avenue bridge Next was a pleasant surprise. A Canadian Pacific locomotive sandwich between to Union Pacific SD70 series locomotives (Oh gawd, hope I don't get in trouble for not identifying the proper model and phase). I am a closet Canadian Pacific fan, so I really enjoy the chance to see one of their locomotives in my area. Maybe it is a hint a merger to come - the Canadian Union Pacific, or the SEE YOU PEE! A Canadian Pacific sandwich! Nice train, eh! Union Pacific 4005 The last train was a westbound intermodal train with Union Pacific 7385 on the point. Union Pacific 7385 |
