UP 2002, KCS 4775 and Amtrak #2

I went out to Pepper Ave bridge today because UP 2002 was going to be coming into West Colton between 4 and 5pm. And I have to say . . I hate Union Pacific.

Got there a little bit after 2pm, and took up the usual spot near Pepper Avenue bridge. From 2pm to 4pm, it was dead, other then yard locomotives setting out two trains.

Then just at 4pm, all hell breaks loose as far as rail traffic goes. An eastbound intermodal shows up, followed up by an east bound mix freight, then a west bound heads out of the yard, then the yard crew trying to set out another train. All this is happening while I am hoping to catch Amtrak #2 from the bridge and UP 2002. A ballast train rolls through. I think UP had it out for me and was trying to block my photos.

Either way, I manage to get a photo of Amtrak #4, UP 2002 and another surprise Kansas City Southern Southern Bell Gevo locomotive.
