any word on when they may begin a dinner train operation? the wife and i will most definitely make a trip up. we have family in paso robles so a quick jaunt up a tad further north when visiting them wouldnt be a big deal at all


   

I have not heard anything about when the dinner train will start. Given the amount of work that is needed to bring the Davenport Branch to Class 1 or better I suspect it will not commence service until late 2015 or 2016. I would not be surprised to see the SCPC 2 return to the Branch Line this summer.

That's great! Folks were talking about it on Nextdoor/La Selva this week. One of the links posted for info was this site. I told people how you've documented the work on the trestles from start to finish with your beautiful photos and narrative. So I think there will be more visitors checking out this thread.
