RE: Another where is It
This bridge was just west of the junction of the Santa Paula Branch at Saugus.

Thanks, Cliff... very interesting... I think that Volkswagen Building may still be there (although used for something else now). CF

RE: Another where is It
I believe I am standing at about the same location in this shot as Cliff was when he shot the remains of the South Fork Bridge. The river may have been widened since, and I'm out pretty wide. The small building across from the waterfall, slightly to the left, is the same building that has the VW sign on it in Cliff's shot, I believe (with a back room added since). It almost looks like it is a private residence now. The white building with the half black circle is clear in both shots.

Interesting that almost 29 years later the white building still has that black image on it. Good follow-up Charles.

The low dam built there is part of an underground storage project meant to impound enough water to provide enough hydrostatic pressure for it to sink into the gravels of the riverbed. This at least captures some of the flow for use in the local aquifer. Similar projects have been done on the Ventura and San Gabriel Rivers, as well.

Doesn't look like there's be too much chance of getting that line back through there now!

...much to the chagrin of some, I'm sure. Nice Dorkometer! Does it have a d'Arsenvol movement in it?

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
