According to my Altamont Press CRTT # 19 on page 7 it says from El Centro to the End of track is 3.0 miles.
Assuming Plaster City is at the end of the lead (I do not know, but assume you do)... that would be 3 miles long. ![]() Chris Chris Walker - Forum Owner |

Holtville is the opposite direction out of El Centro than Plaster City and I know Plaster City is more than three miles out of town.

Plaster City is on the "El Centro" and is 17.8 miles west of El Centro. Last time I was there in 2004they had some nicely painted engines in two attractivepaint schemes. One said Southern California and the other Gulf Colorado. The yard has the dual gauge track for the Plaster City engines to interchange.

So that must mean that Plaster city is not on the Holtville Industrial Lead eh?

Cool... so 20.8 miles from the end of the Holtville Industrial Lead.
Now a train traveling at 10 mph would take how long to get from the End of track to El Centro? Yeah... but it's a dry heat. Chris - Picking Scabs... yuck!

Using Microsoft streets to follow the tracks, Holtville to Plaster City maps out to about 28 miles.
